GIS
We are currently building a Geographical Information System (GIS). This very powerful tool will enable us to reduce costs, evaluate the systems and do statistical analysis of our Solid Waste, Sewer and Water Divisions. All this will help us maintain the department's records for the water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure and facilities. Our service personnel will use the GIS to respond to problems within the system. We anticipate the GIS to be completed by the end of 2010. All record drawings from previous construction projects will be included in the GIS and can be reproduced.
